The Queensland Government Department of Emergency Services (DES) has awarded BTS Networks a standing offer arrangement to perform installation and support for its statewide communications infrastructure.
The four-year arrangement will see BTS undertake installation, configuration and commissioning activities for DES’ emergency communications equipment, both mobile and stationary, across the state. BTS has begun to forge an integrated relationship with DES that will see operational and installations staff of the two organisations working as one to ensure the operational integrity of DES’ fire and ambulance clients across the state.
This standing offer has seen BTS provide planning, design, installation, commissioning and handover expertise for station turnout equipment at major installations in stations as large as Roma Street and Durack and as remote as Airlie Beach and Thursday Island.
BTS has also expanded its support to maintenance and fault response of all fire stations in the Brisbane metropolitan region and in areas such as Emerald, Longreach and all fire, ambulance and repeater stations in between.
“Our experience in providing immediate time critical responses to large networks such as WIN Television and Digital Distribution Australia provides us with the human and technical expertise demanded by clients operating critical installations across many sites in Queensland” says Peter Lambourne, Managing Director of BTS.
